CoolCast Podcast by Coimbra Coolectiva

Project Objectives

Mantis Studio was contacted by Coimbra Coolectiva to support the production of CoolCast, the podcast created to give visibility to people connected to Coimbra — people who impact, surprise, mobilize, and bring energy, creativity, and ambition to the city.

The objective was to help create a podcast format that felt professional, clear, and adaptable for digital platforms, while keeping the human and local identity of the project intact.

CoolCast is not just a conversation format. It is a way of giving space to people and stories that help shape the cultural, social, entrepreneurial, and civic life of Coimbra.

Production

Mantis Studio participated in the production of the podcast, handling the technical setup needed to capture each conversation with quality and consistency.

This included audio capture, video capture, and lighting setup, making sure the podcast looked and sounded professional while keeping the atmosphere natural and conversation-led.

The goal was to create a clean and reliable production environment where the focus could stay on the guest, the host, and the story being told.

Post-Production

Mantis Studio also worked on the editing of video content for social media, transforming the recorded podcast conversations into shorter, more engaging clips adapted for digital platforms.

The editing focused on clarity, pacing, and shareability, helping each episode live beyond the full podcast format and reach audiences across social media.

Results

The final production helped CoolCast become a strong audiovisual format for Coimbra Coolectiva, supporting the podcast’s mission of giving visibility to people and ideas connected to Coimbra.

By combining professional podcast production with social media video editing, the project created content that could work both as a full conversation and as shorter, accessible pieces designed for online distribution.
